A Truth We Are Believing
Psalm 102:12
But you, O LORD, are enthroned forever; you are remembered throughout all generations.
Christ is king forever.
A Way We Are Living
In addition to identify an ultimate aim for your family, I encourage you to identify a few key callings for your life. These callings are the main drives in your life and your mission is the goal in the midst of them.
To serve our primary goal of knowing & treasuring Jesus we have identified three aims that we feel called to pursue.
(1) Trust, Abide, and delight in Jesus Christ
(2) Love and enjoy our family
(3) Inspire in living, caring, and trusting in Jesus.
A helpful way for us to remember these primary callings are the keywords: Abide, Enjoy, & Inspire.
A Book We Are Reading
Two of our children recently breezed their way through Janette Oak’s Seasons of the Heart Series.
Here’s a short description: Josh Jones realizes his family isn't typical, but it's the only life he's ever known. Aunt Lou, Gramps, Uncle Charlie, Grandpa--they all have shaped the young man he has become. But as he grows into manhood, Josh begins to face important questions about life, love, and faith.

An Idea We Are Pondering
Sometimes we get overwhelmed by a large task that takes a lot of time and energy. But large projects or goals are completed by completing small consistent steps.
Therefore, first break down your project or goal into conceivable steps, then concentrate your efforts on one small step today. Do the same thing tomorrow, the next day, and the next day until it’s completed. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish.
The person who shows up briefly everyday is going to accomplish more than the person who shows up for long hours once or twice a week.
An Item We are Recommending
A game changer for Amy and I was when we started subscribing to Audible. Audible has the largest online database of audiobooks. I started using it several years ago during my PhD. I simply didn’t have time to sit down and read every book that I was required to read. So I found audio versions and listened while accomplishing necessary tasks around the home.
Our entire family now uses Audible to listen to a vast array of audiobooks. We have discovered that being a lover of learning is the pathway to growth. So when we are often too tired to read, it’s listening (often together) that has become a regular rhythm within our life.
