A truth we are believing …
Matthew 5:11-12
“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”
When persecutions come, rejoice that your reward is great!
A way we are living …
One way we are training our kids to think different is by asking them different questions.
Instead of asking, “What do you want to be when you grow up,” we ask, “What businesses do you want to own as you grow up?”
Our capacities and limits often begin at the mental level.
We are training our kids to think big, be alright with failure, and use times and resources to serve their love for Jesus instead of choosing a life that serves something else.
A book we are reading …
Amy and I are studying Hebrews together this Summer.
One of the simplest and yet best resources for studying God’s word is the ESV Knowing the Bible series.
We are using the Hebrews 12 week study book. It has been a fantastic resource.
An idea we are pondering …
Use money instead of serve money.
Sometimes the best financial choice isn’t the best family choice.
Sometimes spending extra money will enhance your life and reduce anxiety.
Sometimes the job making the most money will not serve your love for God.
Sometimes a smaller bank account is more honoring to God than a bigger one.
An item we are recommending …
Something that has become a staple around our home is the Egg Chair.
Not only do we love the look of Egg Chairs but these little wonders create a contained space to do needed things with our medically complex son with disabilities.
