A Way We Are Living

Parenting a child with complex medical and special needs, three other kids, ministry, and over a decade of graduate and post-graduate studies makes it feel like we are always making significant decisions. 

One of the most helpful questions we have a habit of asking when faced with decisions is “What will get us more of Jesus?”

It is a simple question but the answers have meant decisions with profound outcomes.

We love children’s books! Our house is filled beautiful picture books! We have read thousands of picture books to our kids and yet one of our favorite authors remains Robert McCloskey.

Whether it is Blueberries for Sal, One Morning in Maine, Make Way for Ducklings, Time of Wonder, or Burt Dow, Deep-Water Man. His books are gold!

An Idea We Are Pondering

Most of the sweetest moments of our days with our kids come when the homeschool books get closed, the scheduled stuff is over, and we can just live, go on adventures, laugh so hard we cry, and enjoy God’s good gifts.

An Item We are Recommending

A travel game changer for our family has been the Safety Sleeper.
