a truth we are believing …
Luke 9:23
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”
Take note: Jesus does not follow you. You are called to follow him.
a way we are living …
One of the toys that we have selected to go big on is Legos!
From skills in engineering, imagination, building, and play, the benefits of Legos are immense. Plus, we love that Legos can be a solo activity or something we do as a family.
Whether it’s Legos or something else, be intentional about the toys you buy for your kids. Go big on a few items that have multiple benefits and you can add onto over time.
a book we are reading …
We have loved Jon Bloom's book True to His Word. We recently walked through a very intense medical season with our oldest son that included brain surgery and eights weeks in the ICU.
Bloom's book was a helpful and encouraging resource during this time and since being home. Each chapter is a short read but packed with gospel gold!
“That is why we have our thorns. They are weakeners that strengthen us. Without them, we would choose a weaker strength and miss experiencing the glory and joy of God’s powerful, faithful, sufficient grace. It’s another wonderful kingdom paradox: our agonizing thorns end up producing greater joy in us and ultimately make us more effective and fruitful” (pg. 83).
an idea we are pondering …
What legacy do you most want to leave for your great grandchildren? How much of your time and energy each day actually contributes to this end?
an item we are recommending …
Due to the need of our Levi to be on more oxygen than normal, we recently purchased the Oxlife Liberty2 portable concentrator.
This concentrator is one of the only models out there that offers a continuous flow of 2 liters and is suitable for both children and adults.
We love the Oxlife Liberty2 because unlike having to drag around multiple oxygen tanks, this little guy is all that we need to grab to meet Levi’s oxygen needs when we aren’t at home!
